Shannon Falls British Columbia

Shannon Falls Provincial Park offers a boardwalk nearby giving you a breathtaking view of the third highest waterfall in British Columbia, a popular picnic destination with picnic tables located along Shannon Creek and the Loggers Sports Field. The park is along the Sea-to-Sky Coastal Highway on the east side of Highway 99, just south of Stawamus Chief Mountain.

British Columbia Museum of Mining

Located 10 minutes south of Squamish on Hwy 99 at Britannia Beach, this national historic site dates back to 1888, when Dr. Forbes discovered copper at Britannia Mountain. The BC Museum of Mining takes you into our history, offers changing exhibits, and special events.

West Coast Railway Heritage Park and Museum

Welcome to British Columbia’s Railway Heritage! The museum has 65 pieces of railway heritage collections, including some of the oldest pieces dating back to 1890, and the West Coast Railway Heritage Park is open to the public throughout the year, located on Government Rd in Squamish, BC.

Brackendale Eagles

Brackendale is the destination for eagle viewing. Through November to mid February, thousands of eagles can be viewed. The town of Brackendale is just north of Squamish, and eagle viewing takes place from the Tenderfoot Creek Fish hatchery in the Cheakamus Valley. This town is well known for the largest gathering of bald eagles in North America.

This summer will the 50th Anniversary of the Squamish Days Loggers Sports Festival. From August 2nd – August 6th, this festival will include four fun filled days of musical events, children’s activities, parade, wacky bed races, 10 km run, pancake breakfast and world class Loggers Sports Shows with competitors from around the world. This event showcases Squamish’s rich heritage and community spirit.
